Neil Franklin was most impressively knowledgeable and appreciative of my hearing needs. I have ended up with just one hearing aid ( the other ear is beyond help) and I am totally delighted with it. Previously I have had aids from NHS and more recently Boots and so with some experience I can say that this aid is great - comfortable - I'm unaware of its presence, and highly efficient at its job. I am very very pleased I made the appointment to see Neil.
Neil has now fitted 3 sets of aids over the years for me, the latest set being able to connect to my phone using bluetooth which means the sound is crystal clear and I can hear every word. The other advantage is I can play music from my phone using Apple Music with fantastic quality.
I mentioned to Neil about a year ago that I was having a balance issue and he strongly advised me to see my Doctor, Which I did and was given a blood test and a head MRI. The blood test showed a high PSA level which continued to rise so that I was given a prostate MRI, and a biopsy soon followed, This led to radiotherapy being the treatment of choice, on the prostate lesion. Results seem to be good, due to early detection.
Neurology referral , seem to think that cervical spondylosis is the cause of the balance issue since results of MRI and MRA scans which I was given showed no sign of brain or blood vessel morbidity Thanks again Neil.

My Dad at this point in time isn’t keen to progress with hearing aids -

more just where his view of the impact his hearing is having not really being such an issue to him. We’ve bought the Earol spray however and have started using that for the wax issue.
You recently tested my hearing and suggested I needed hearing aids which have now been fitted. You also noticed a spot behind my right ear which you said should be referred to my doctor. He passed this onto my local hospital who advised it was a mild form of skin cancer. The consultant advised this could be removed by surgery. I would not normally have referred this to my doctor but thank you for seeing the spot and asking me to refer it.
